Wainwright Bank

Hey all,

Quick idea about banks- what do you think about going with Wainwright Bank? They are noted for being socially progressive, honest, and have a section dedicated to non-profits linking from their homepage. Plus a location in Coolidge Corner + online banking. Check it-

  1. I am down like a frowny clown on this one! They are awesome ethically it appears and they definitely take care of small businesses.

They actually have a few points to them that make them a better choice over BoA (Desktop Teller is sweet!). Only downside is I can't seem to find a ton of SUM ATM locations, is anyone part of a bank that uses SUM? Are they around more than Google would lead me to believe?

I think that the $100 minimum to open the free small business account is a nice coincidence. The only thing we need to do is put down our first $25 each. Later on, when we actually have money coming into the account from elsewhere, we might move up to a regular business account and see what this "Account analysis" is about. I vote we shoot to open the account in time to send Lynell the next check with the small business account (i.e. the next 10 days - and Shawn, Justin, and I need to get our $200 in there).

    Good work justin!

  2. This sounds awesome.

"It's the rare company that does well while doing good"

That about sums up their ethos, which I am in line with 100 percent.

Also, ATMs shouldn't matter much, as we will not be pulling money out of the account regularly, as if it was some petty cash account.

All transactions would be either deposits or larger, need to be accounted for instances.

    Seriously, good find Justin!

I sent my $200.00 to Eli, so deposit away I say!
